Dear friends, family, prayer partners, and supporters, blessings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We have begun the new year with a bang and the Lord has blessed in many ways and opened many doors to us as we continue to minister to the Deaf in the Dominican Republic. On January 31, we had our first "Sabado Evangelistico para Sordos" at our home church in Santo Domingo. This event was a big blessing to all. We had more than 60 people in attendance and it was a time of fun and fellowship as well as an opportunity to share the gospel with some for the first time.
We have had the opportunity to meet with many pastors of Baptist churches throughout the Dominican Republic; we are making plans to bring this evangelistic program for the Deaf to their churches as well as work with them to develop Deaf Ministries. We recently met with the pastor in the town of Ocoa which is located about two hours southwest from us. I was excited to see the pastor and six of the men and women from his church at the meeting and one Deaf young man. The pastor is planning to begin a Bible study with the Deaf this month showing videos of my messages from the past few years.
What a blessing to see how the Lord works through each aspect of ministry. We will be returning in two months to Ocoa to have a "Sabado Evangelistic" event in addition to some Sign Language training for those in the church. Please pray for this church and the new founded ministry.
